User guide

Tamiya Legends lists all 100 of Tamiya's first RC kits (58001–58100). Use it to look up manuals and spares, and to keep track of which kits you own.

Adding a kit to your collection

  1. Find the kit by scrolling, searching by name or number (e.g. Hornet or 58045), or tapping a category such as Buggy.
  2. Tap the round ✓ button in the top-right corner of the kit's photo.
  3. The button turns red. The kit is now in your collection, and the In my collection counter at the top goes up by one.

Removing a kit

Tap the red ✓ again. It turns white and the kit is removed from your collection.

Seeing just your collection

Use the drop-down next to the categories:

  • Owned shows only the kits you've ticked.
  • Not owned shows what's still missing. Handy as a wanted list.
  • All kits shows everything again.

Manuals, spares and photos

Tap a kit's photo or name to open its details. From there you can open the manual and spares list (TamiyaBase), photos and review (RC Scrapyard), search for a manual PDF, or look for spares on eBay. Use Previous / Next or your arrow keys to move between kits.

Watching Glen's videos

Kits that Glen has covered on the TAMIYA Legends YouTube channel have a red ▶ VIDEO badge on the photo and a ▶ Watch Glen's video button. Tap the kit to see all of Glen's videos for it. To see only kits with videos, choose Has a Glen video in the drop-down.

Promo videos

Where the original Tamiya promo video is available (from the GoodspeedPT YouTube channel), the tile also has a black ▶ Promo Video button. Each kit's details include a link to search GoodspeedPT for that car.

Adding the app to your home screen

Tap 📲 Add to Home Screen at the top of the page and follow the steps. The app then opens from its own icon, like any other app.

Good to know: your collection is saved on this device, in this browser only. It won't appear on your other devices, and clearing your browser's data or history will erase it. On iPhone, the home-screen app and Safari keep separate collections, so pick one and stick to it.
